"Hey are these extremely cheap suspension parts on Ebay any good?"
-No. Get oem or equivalent.
"I'm just going to order them, I don't drive the car very hard."
-They're seriously bad, you will waste time and money not to mention risking your life and others.
"They have a one year warranty I'm not worried"
*2 months later*
"This car is seriously crap I had a ball joint fail again, how can anyone drive these pieces of junk. Everyone needs to sell your car before it happens to you."
Same goes for pretty much every problem:
-Asks something that's been covered thousands of times.
-Ignores advice.
-Comes back and complains.

No, their solution to every problem is "put Audi wheels on it."

Never owned a car before that made me actually consider selling it based on the dumb shit I read on the main Forum.

My forum goes more like this:
OP: "Yo guyz, I wanna get the best coilovers I can for like $20. What should I get?"
Logical person: "What do you actually want out of the suspension? Your goals are what really matter."
OP: "I wanna slam my car but have it be comfortable and do race car stuff (like made driftzzzz). Oh, and I'm gonna put 18" wheels that are way wider than they need to be for the power too."
Idiot: "Bro, I've got some (insert cheap brand of coilovers here) and they're the shit! They definitely improve the handling, it's pretty much a professional drift car now, and the ride quality is way better."
Logical person: "That's not going to be possible, especially on your budget. If you want your car lower, but don't want to sacrifice ride quality, just get a good set of lowering springs (with appropriate spring rates) and maybe some new shocks. It'll be your best bet for the money. Otherwise, spend around $2,000 for some halfway decent coilovers, like KW V3s."
OP: "Just ordered some Fortune 500 coilovers for $15! Can't wait to get these on and tear it up at the drift track!!!"
Me: *facepalm*
And that'd be about the 5th thread like that in a month.

I'm a member of Focusst.org and thankfully it's not a shit show like a lot of forums. Though, the build threads can be funny. There's always a guy who posts his stock ride with the title "project 11.9 1/4 mile" and of course he bought the most loaded ST including the moonroof.
I am also a member of the ssforums.com because of my interest in the Chevrolet SS. And you got old guys on there who find it crazy that anyone would want to modify their cars.

I frequent Jeep forums. The things people do to their suspension... "I want more articulation, so I'm going to get rid of one of the control arms and just leave the others as they are". And they drive it on the street! Or " I installed a six inch lift and now I've got death wobble what do I need to fix it" but that's not all.
There's one guy running a GM 2.8L in his Comanche. It's his third in the last year. The first one, he dicked around with the jets in his carb, and then couldn't get it to run properly again, so he messed around with his valves and some other stuff to fix the problem. Then he decided he needed a new motor. The 2.8L is known to be unreliable, and everyone told him to swap to a GM 3.4L out of a Camarobird... a bolt in swap for not much more than a 2.8 out of a Jeep or S10. After a lengthy thread where everyone advised against it, he he got a used 2.8L. He sucked a bunch of water into that one, and killed it. A second lengthy engine swap thread, where the 3.4L was repeatedly recommended, he swapped in another 2.8L. Then he posted up another thread about motor swaps, because he decided he wanted more power, and he didn't think he could keep his 2.8 going for much longer because where he goes mudding (bear in mind it's his 2wd daily driver) he "can't keep mud and water from getting in the air cleaner". Snorkels were recommended, along with a 3.4L swap. He just recently started another engine swap thread because he froze his coolant... at 17°F.
Some people...
